Christmas Classic & Miracle Mile

Miracle Mile (1 mile downhill)

8:30 a.m., Sunday, December 19, 2010  : The Miracle Mile starts 8:30 a.m. at Rainbow Falls on JFK Drive (near Transverse Drive & 19th Avenue overpass) and runs a slight downhill on JFK to the Polo Field/Spreckles Lake area on JFK. It is certified point to point and very fast. Race day registration from 7 a.m. at the Polo Field north tunnel path near John F. Kennedy Drive at 36th. There is no registration at Rainbow Falls. Participants have a choice of walking, jogging, or taking a shuttle from the registration/finish area to the starting line. There is parking in the park and in surrounding areas.

Christmas Classic 5K

9:00 a.m., Sunday, December 19, 2010  : The Christmas Classic 5K starts 9:00 a.m. on John F. Kennedy Drive at 36th. It runs a scenic, certified loop, mostly flat with one one mild hill. Race day registration from 7 a.m. at the Polo Field north tunnel path near John F. Kennedy Drive at 36th. There is no registration at Rainbow Falls. There is parking in the park and in surrounding areas.

USA Track & Field (USATF) Certified - Awards 3 deep in all divisions - Cash Prizes (Mile & 5K).

Age divisions: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+, School Grade.

Winners of all People Events often receive a breakfast for two at Jo Ann's Café (1131 El Camino Real in South San Francisco), which placed second for best American Breakfast in California by Zagat Survey of Restaurants Sports Basement Gift Certificates. Prizes for place winners, random drawing winners, and top pledge collectors, often See's Candies, and a stay at the famous San Remo Hotel near San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf.
