$50 billion is wasted annually on the War on Drugs, which incarcerates more then 500,000 yearly, destroying lives and the economy while accomplishing nothing, other than overflowing the prisons and forcing violent offenders onto the street. As a result, in California we spend more for prisons than we do for public education.
